Welcome to the Shaw Edwards Antiques web site offering a range of Early Furniture, Carvings and Related items. Shaw will be operating his business together with his wife Valerie, from their homes in Devon and Berkshire.
Shaw has been involved with antiques since the mid 1960s and has studied the art of the late Medieval and early Renaissance periods in some considerable depth. A member of the British Antique Dealers Association, BADA, Shaw exhibits at its Fair in London and at a range of other quality fairs around England. He is also a member of The Association of Art & Antiques Dealers, LAPADA, and the regional group, The West of England Antique Dealers Association, WEADA
Shaw’s main interests are in the 15th, 16th and 17th Centuries, and he carries a wide range of carvings, (both secular and religious), coffers, tables, chairs and related works from those periods. In addition to this Shaw usually has a few examples of primitive chairs and some high quality country items which are shown on the site.
People are very welcome to see any item of interest by appointment or to discuss them by telephone or through email correspondence.
