Five French Oak panels, circa 1500. These are from a Chest front, and are probably from the Breton Region of France. The four tracery panels are of high quality with terrific energy coming from their design and execution. The fifth panel depicts a musician playing the Breton form of Bagpipes, and in contrast to the tracery panels displays a wonderful naive folk art quality.
