Pair of Ceiling Bosses

Fine pair of English Oak Ceiling Bosses, West Country, probably Somerset, circa 1480. They are of exceptional surface quality and colour with some traces of original gilding. They are carved with deeply incised foliate designs and the original pairs of peg holes to fixing then to the ceiling beams are in disguised central positions.
