Pair of Carved Panels

Pair of carved English Oak panels with enriched parchemin design, circa 1540. The parchemin design is split by attractive ropework and the sides and bottom are decorated with leaves and fruiting seed pods. They have been applied to later, probably Victorian, backing panels and one has minor restoration and “fill its”.
