Superbly executed French Oak panels, circa 1530. The high quality carved Romayne heads depict gentlemen wearing Classical style helmets. The design is clean and uncluttered with what at first appears to be typical Renaissance foliate design, but which is in fact pairs of grotesque masks above and below the roundels.
