
Refectory Table

A late Gothic Spruce rectangular refectory table, circa 1525, with wonderful single plank top sitting on X form trestles joined by a single stretcher. The colour of the top is excellent and there are significant traces of original green paint. These tables were typical of the Alsace region of France, and reflect the portable nature of furniture at this period.
