Wainscot Armchair

An imposing Oak Wainscot Armchair probably from the North Somerset/Bristol area, circa 1690. The two panelled back decorated with stylised trees within elongated “S” scrolls. It has its original cresting rail which is plain and pierced in the “new” William and Mary fashion! The feet stumps and stretchers are later replacements.
