The focus of the stock covers late Medieval and early Renaissance examples of carved fragments sometimes as early as the 13th Century right through the 14th,15th and 16th Centuries, together with furniture as late as the 17th Century. 

Shaw has been involved with antiques since the mid 1960s and has studied the art of the late Medieval and early Renaissance periods in some considerable depth. He is a member of the British Antique Dealers Association, BADA, the Association of Art and Antiques Dealers, LAPADA, and the International Confederation of Art and Antiques Dealers Associations, CINOA.

Shaw exhibits at the BADA Fair in London, the LAPADA Fair at Berkeley Square in London, and at a range of other quality fairs around England. From 1st October 2009, Shaw has joined the collective of BADA Dealers at the Edenbridge Galleries in Kent. He has taken a room to display his stock in Taylour House, where he will have a regularly changing exhibition of both his 16th and 17th Century furniture and his early carvings in the ideal setting of this wonderful Medieval building.

Shaw’s main interests are in the 14th, 15th and 16th Centuries. He carries a wide selection of secular and religious carvings from the Medieval and Gothic periods, through to the end of the 16th Century. These early carvings come in a variety of timber including Oak, Walnut, Limewood, Spanish Hard Pine, and very occasionally Yew Wood. He stocks high quality early English Oak furniture including coffers, tables, chairs and related works from the late 15th Century, and through the 16th and 17th Centuries.
